Corrections Policy
Tirupati Official takes accuracy seriously. When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently. This page describes how.
How to request a correction
If you spot a factual error in any Tirupati Official story, please email corrections@tirupatiofficial.com (or our general editorial inbox editorial@tirupatiofficial.com) with:
- The URL of the story
- The specific factual claim you believe is incorrect
- The correct information, with a source if possible
We respond to correction requests within 48 hours during weekdays.
How we correct
For factual errors (incorrect names, dates, numbers, attributions), we update the story and add a clearly labelled correction note at the bottom of the article, dated. We do not silently change published facts.
For minor errors (typos, grammar, broken links, formatting), we update the story without a public note.
For headline corrections, we update the headline and add a note when the original headline was materially misleading.
For significant errors that materially change a story’s meaning, we publish a separate update or follow-up post linking back to the original.
What we do not change
We do not retroactively remove or rewrite published reporting to please subjects, advertisers, or political actors. Once a story is published, the historical record stands unless there is a factual error to correct.
Removal requests
We consider removal requests only in specific circumstances:
- The story contains a factual error so significant that correction is insufficient
- The story poses a clear and imminent risk to an identified individual
- The information was published in legal error (defamation, court-ordered removal)
Routine displeasure with accurate reporting is not grounds for removal. Removal requests should be sent to editorial@tirupatiofficial.com with detailed justification.
Right of reply
Any individual or institution named in a Tirupati Official story may request space to respond. We aim to publish substantive replies as follow-up posts or comments where they add value to the public record. Replies are subject to editorial standards (verification, defamation review).
Public record
Significant corrections may be linked from our social media channels. We maintain corrections in story footers permanently to preserve the editorial record.
